Studylink provides financial assistance and student loans to help with:

• compulsory course fees
• course-related costs (eg, books, laptop, TRAVEL etcetera)
• day-to-day living costs
• other costs (eg disability or childcare).

If you are a part time student because you are unable to study full time due to a serious medical condition, a reason beyond your control or if it is in your best academic interests you may be able to apply for limited full-time status with Studylink. This means even if you are studying part-time you may be recognised as a full-time student by Studylink and be eligible for student allowance/student loan living costs and course related costs. Community Services Card:

Work and income have a community services card that is for low income people or families to have cheaper access to healthcare and there maybe some discounts for particular services in your local areas such as cheaper admission to local pools and recreation spaces.
